Brian Owen
Brian is one of the founders of Rig Solutions Inc. He is also the President and Operations Manger. He has a B.S. in Petroleum Services and an A.S. in Safety Technology from Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, Louisiana. Advanced courses taken in well drilling, well control, computational methods and gas lift mandrel techniques. Certifications include Horizontal Extended Reach Drilling Industry Training, 2002, K&M Technology and Randy Smith Well Control Certified, 2004. He is proficient in Ms. Windows, Word, Excel , Microsoft Power Point as well as DIMS and various operators other reporting programs. Brian has over twelve years oilfield experience world-wide as a Materials Coordinator and Drilling Technician. He has consistently been recognized for performing beyond exceptions, exhibiting consistent safety habits and minimizing costs by working closely with the accounting departments of the operators to ensure accuracy of billing charges per contract with each vendor. He has implemented cost-saving programs that has saved major operators millions of dollars annually.

Cecil B. “Rowdy” Yates
Rowdy is a founder of Rig Solutions Inc. He began working as a roughneck in the summer of 1971 while perusing a degree in Business Administration at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Texas. In 1978 he went to work for Milchem as a mud engineer. He became an independent consultant in 1981 and started his own consulting firm (Rowdy Yates Inc) in 1985. Since then Rowdy has worked on rigs in 6 continents and 12 states including virtually every block in the Gulf of Mexico. He has over 9 years of deepwater experience including 7 years on ultra-deepwater rigs. Although Rowdy would have to be considered “Old Oilfield” with almost 35 years in the industry, he has remained current on new technology. He was instrumental in doing the research and development of Baker Iteq’s Spotting Fluid “Black Magic LT”. He has been an active participant in the Contractor’s & Operator’s STOP/START safety programs and he has submitted numerous suggestions that have contributed to a safer work environment.

Louis W. “Jody” Fry
Jody is one of the founders of Rig Solutions Inc and is responsible for management operations and consulting. He began his work in the oilfield as a roughneck in the late 1960’s as a way to pay for his college education. His education includes a BS in Industrial Engineering from Southern Methodist University, a MBA from American University in Washington D.C. and a Ph.D. in Organizational Theory and Behavior from The Ohio State University. Jody has worked as an engineer and as a professor of management at Texas A&M University in College Station, The University of Washington, and Tarleton State University – Central Texas. Dr. Fry has extensive consulting experience and has presented scholarly papers at National and International symposia, served on editorial review boards of and published articles and reviews in respected scholarly journals. His executive development program and consulting activities include working with utilities, oilfield, and other public and private organizations in the areas of survey and organizational assessment, organizational and team development, Implementing Balanced Scorecards and the Baldrige Quality criteria for Performance Excellence.
